| Who gets surveyed? | • All State, Foundation and ASI employees full time, part time or temporary | |
| • All employees who are on payroll during survey week, including: anyone on vacation, on jury duty, out sick or on leave of any kind, and FERP's. |
||
| • All Student assistants scheduled to work 4 hours or more during survey week | ||
| Who does not get surveyed? | • Employees on sabbatical, employees not on payroll during survey week | |
| • Temporary employees who are not paid by State, Foundation or ASI | ||
| • Contractors or consultants who are not paid by State, Foundation or ASI | ||

| Vacation | ||
| If you are on paid vacation | Yes | Enter the time you would have come to work that day, even though you are out on vacation |
| Sick or Medical Leave | ||
| If you are off work due to illness or on medical leave and you are using sick time | Yes | Enter the time you would have come to work that day, even though you are out ill |
| Other | ||
| If you are on leave for Jury Duty, Military Duty, Maternity, Long Term Medical/Disability, Bereavement | Yes | Enter the time you would have come to work that day, even though you are not reporting to work |
| Telecommute | ||
| If you work a full day from home or satellite work location* | Yes | Enter the time you started work from home or satellite location *If you work at a satellite work location please call for clarification |
| Compressed Work Week | ||
| If you work a 4/10 or 9/80 work schedule | Yes | Enter the time you started work that day. On the day you are off, enter the time you would have worked if you were to come in that day |
| Off - Not Scheduled to Work | ||
| If you are not scheduled to work | No | Be aware, since you don't enter a time the system will search for a time entered in a prior day and will populate the field automatically |
| Non-Commuting | ||
| If you are on a business trip or working outside of the Southern California basin | Yes | Enter the time you reported to work that day IMPORTANT - Students should never select this as an option |
| Walk/Bike | ||
| If you walk or ride your bike to work | Yes | Enter the time you started work that day. Students should select this option if they live on campus and walk/bike to work |
| Zero Emission Vehicle | ||
| 100% electric vehicle | Yes | Enter the time you started work that day Hybrid vehicles are not Zero Emission |
| Bus | ||
| If you ride a public bus, Bronco Express* or Bronco Link Shuttle* | Yes | Enter the time you started work that day. *Select 'Bus' if you live on campus and ride the Bronco Express to work or if you ride the Bronco Link from the train station without riding the train |
